I’m Jeff Lavia chef and owner of Dinner MoJo Personal Chef Services, a successful and thriving food service business based in Long Beach, CA.  And I want to share my love of food with the world.  Five years ago, the story of Dinner MoJo began, and has continued to grow today to southern California's leading personal chef service agency.

For the past twenty years, I have worked in some aspect of the food industry, from restaurants to owning my own catering business.  I’ve been exposed to and know a great deal about food.  I’m a professional chef and have been in business for myself for 5 years.

I live a life that is centered around food.  I travel to places just to try the food.  My leisure reading usually consists of a great cookbook or cooking magazine.  But the thing that I love most about food is that there is still so much to learn.  I will forever be a student of food exploring new ingredients, techniques, and flavor combinations. 

Professionally speaking I’ve been interviewed for food articles for the L.A. Times and Long Beach Magazine.  I'm a recurring guest chef on an award winning cable cooking show "Community Cooking," which incorporates quick and simple meals using ingredients purchased at the local farmer's market.  Recently, I've had recipes published in the  cook book "Orange County Fare".  For over a year and a half I was the chef instructor for Diabetic Cooking Classes at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.  I've also done healthy cooking demonstrations for NBC.  

I have a joie de vie approach to life and that translates into the kitchen and my food.  I have a contagious enthusiasm and passion for what I do and that will be apparent the minute you meet me and taste my food.
